How do Betahistine Tablets work?

Betahistine tablets operate as histamine H1 receptor agonists in the blood vessels and this process, also known as vasodilation, widens the blood vessels and helps adequate blood reach to the inner ear. Blood circulation in the inner ear may improve after this process, and one may find improvement in balance and motion control regarded as symptoms of Ménière’s disease. These tablets also help manage the excessive buildup of the fluid known as endolymph in the inner ear. These tablets serve as an Anti-vertigo agent.

These tablets are not used as fast alleviation or instant comfort for Ménière’s disease. Additionally, these tablets don’t claim to completely cure the disease but to help with the symptoms of the disease.
